Fully Woolly

Fibre runs through Susan's veins! Her great, great, great grandfather was a Paisley weaver from Scotland and the following generations have knitted, embroidered and sewn. She has been creating since she was a child, her grandmother teaching her to crochet when she was 7 which started a life long passion for fibre crafting.
She is a multi-crafter! Spins, dyes, knits, crochets, felts and sews - drawn by the colours and textures of fibre and fabric. She is Fully Woolly!

She is a bit of a magpie, collecting fabrics and fibres and snippets of ideas and creating something new and wonderful from them. She also repurposes fabrics, knits and vintage woollen blankets, taking fabrics with a history, (which are often very nostalgic for people) giving them a new story to tell.
She really enjoys the design and development of a small idea, making it, tweaking it, and re-making it until it satisfies her. She has won several national knitwear design awards too!
Based in Wanaka, in the southern lakes area of New Zealand - a beautiful place to live and create and the colours of the area are often reflected in her work.
